Here’s your chance to own a tool that will last you generations with proper use and care. This is a great heirloom piece whether you’re wanting something that you can use to gut and skin a lifetime of harvests with or to cut bales of hay open. This knife is great for you.
The knife is forged from a single piece of 1095 steel which with its thin shape holds a great edge. It has a osage orange handle which is my wood of choice on most knives that I make due to it making it a pretty handle with orange and yellow hues along with aging process I use that gives it a perfect tone of black to help bring out the colors. Not only does Osage make a great looking handle it has a certain durability that other woods struggle with. Osage has been used for centuries for making bows due to its durable nature. The handle is attached with a copper pin holding it together mechanically with no glue. It also has a poured pewter bolster which has been seen historically on knives of the past. The knife is sold with the sheath seen in the photos which is made from heavy saddle skirting leather and is also pre-aged.
Every knife that comes out of my shop is completely hand forged, hand filed, and handmade using the most basic tools from start to finish.
***Due to common sense being something you can’t buy, I don’t offer warranties on my knives anymore. This knife is made to cut and slice not chop down trees or be used as a pry bar or screwdriver. Any damage caused to the knife or breakage is on the owner of the knife and will NOT be refunded for such uses that I listed above.***
