New Coal Forge Plans **PRE-ORDER**
Blacksmith’s this is for you!
If you have been following along on my social media pages you’ll see that I’ve been doing a lot of work in my shop. Building it to become more efficient and making it where I can put out better quality of work and more of it. By doing so I finally bought a much needed power hammer and to go with that I built a new, but bigger coal forge to replace the one that I finally out grew. After quite a few messages about if I had plans for it I decided to type some up which I will hopefully have available around mid September of 2025. The forge was built to fit my needs, but also help reduce the need for other things that took up room within my smaller shop. This forge was built to fit my needs for doing both ornamental and architectural work. But can be built for your needs also depending on the work you choose to do.
What’s in the plans?
Materials list (can be adjusted to fit your needs and what’s readily available to you)
Measurements (you can adjust to fit the size you may need)
Instructions on building both the forge but the attachments also that I built for mine.
Knowledge and tips for building
Where to buy parts and more!
A forge like this is fairly simple to design and build yourself if you have fabrication experience, but for those who don’t or you just want to make sure to build something that will work in the end can be a difficult decision to make. The plus side is I based these plans off the one I built and I’ve tested it quite a bit the last few weeks and by each project I ask myself why I didn’t build this sooner. It’s a perfect design for those who still run coal, but you can use it for more than a forge whether it be a layout/ welding table to a new spot to hang your favorite post vise. This forge is extremely versatile and you can take these measurements and make it fit your needs how ever you like whether you’re needing something bigger for teaching classes, doing large quantities of production work, to even just wanting something that acts as a multi tool to make space for a small shop like I did.
***you will need basic fabrication equipment for this such as: a welder that can handle and penetrate into deeper materials, grinders, tape, level, square, etc.***
The price might seem steep now, but once I get them printed the price will increase to cover paper and ink (as of right now those who pre- order will receive it the cheapest) The plans will be filled with new ideas for it and quite a few great attachments for it along with plenty of pictures of the entire build process.
Down the road into 2026 I will also be offering plans for a portable forge and a new demonstration set up I plan to build.
***Payment is not refundable once the plans are printed***
